1: The Ridge Suite - wheelchair friendly

Description and Rates -

Comfortably sleeps 2 adults &/or 2 additional adults or 1-2 children.

Perfect for close friends or family

"The Ridge Suite" is a private luxury unit, it has a small kitchenette, private entrance, exterior private deck area, & private bathroom. The Grand Room area contains a custom 4 poster bed, and all bedding is made with luxury cottons, with bed & pillow protectors. Comfortably sleeps 2 adults &/or 2 additional adults or 1-2 children. 2 Night Minimum on "Long Weekends". 

• LCD Flat Screen TV, tuner and DVD player.
• Secure direct modem connection and Wifi

Breakfast is served in your suite between 7-9a.m

If you are staying only one night you likely will only get the basic breakfast, which is still very nice & quite substantial.

The basics are high quality fruit, yogurt, granola, served with milk or soy milk. The majority of my ingredients are of the highest quality & are certified organic, and I like to have ingredients that come as close to home as possible.

If your are in a rush, the above is a good breakfast - usually I try to serve some local cheese, such as the berry cheese (ricotta style) from The Little Qualicum cheese factory, or Vancouver Island Smoked Apple wood Cheddar, and of course some high quality crackers such as Rain Forest Crisps to go with that. Of course organic Juice & Coffee! What do you think this place is?!

The expanded breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sometimes with plain Goat Cheese if I have some on hand, from Salt Spring Cheese, roasted herbed potatoes with sweet peppers & green onions, and usually 2 types of bread toasted, along with jams & peanut butter.

For those staying more than two nights? Well you are in for a treat. How about the best French Toast west of Birdsong B&B? French toast (or multi grain) all eggy & fried in a little butter & smothered in fresh fruit & topped with ice cream or yogurt with a squirt of Belgian Chocolate? think you can handle it?

Or how about Lloyd's Eastern European? Pirogies with extra thick bacon or bratwurst, tossed with fresh roasted tomato, onion & herbs, topped with a little sour cream? MMMmmm!!

Wheelchair & Barrier Free Accessibility

If you are physically disabled, "Touch the Sky" is quite wheelchair friendly & barrier free. It's not perfect for everyone, but I have worked hard to try and meet basic needs.  While a few doorways require a sharp turn, they are all more that 35" wide and are sliding pocket types. There are no thresholds in the Ridge suite itself.

If you are in a wheelchair, you must either have good standing balance, be able to safely transfer, or arrange help to do so.

Please discuss your needs with Lloyd to customize your arrangements.
Custom grab poles can be repositioned nearly anywhere.
The toilet is raised at 19" so you likely won't need a special raised toilet seat.

Walkways are ramped, there are no thresholds to struggle with, inside you'll have plenty of room for turning, lots of secure and strong grab bars, and no carpets. I'll try and meet all your needs.

• If you are disabled but can transfer, then Touch the Sky is for you.

• If you have your own lift I have plenty of room for such devices.
  

• If you have a power chair & a seat belt you can easily get around many area's of my property.

I can also provide a disabled persons' "extras" package for a fee of $20.00 refundable at the end of your stay - it includes:

• Special kitchen utensils and bowls, non slip kitchen matt's, special chopping board and hands free can opener, cushioned commode style bath bench if you don't have your own, digital blood pressure monitor, (for those who know how to use one).
• with several weeks booking in advance, I can even arrange professional respite services at a cost of $50./hr depending on your needs. (price includes labor insurance & GST)

2: The Western Suite - full Kitchen!

Description and Rates

This is a stand alone private suite perched above my art studio. At 600 square feet on the interior there is plenty of room & privacy. You'll have use of a full kitchen, a master bedroom with custom queen size bed, separate bathroom with tub & shower, use of laundry facilities for those visiting 3 nights or more, and a living room that accomodates a twin bunkbed and double size futon. All bedding includes luxury cottons, with bed & pillow protectors. The living room also has it's own private deck.

3: The Tee Pee Suite - Luxury Camping!

Description and Rates

Available from May to end of September only.

Are you a hardcore camper wanting some luxury but not too much? Don't mind walking a way to your own bathroom, just like at a campground? You'll have your own private bathroom, and your own private campsite, in an 18' teepee!! Whoopee! It's Incredible! No TV! WOW!!!
